My name is Celeste G. Cruz. I was born in a small town in Guatemala near the capital city. I came to Chicago when I was young and have lived and loved this city ever since. I attended Lane Tech High School and did my medical and surgical training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As time progressed my interests for surgery, the special needs of breast cancer patients, and advocacy lead me to pursue a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship which I completed at Advocate Christ Hospital. I am currently practicing at Illinois Masonic Medical Center as Medical Director of Breast Surgery. I have been very fortunate in my career to be able to serve and continue to serve my own community. My non-medical interests include spending time with my loved ones, (usually involving food), and vintage photography.
